I am excited to finally share the reveal of my basement bedroom makeover!! It feels like ages ago all of the drama of this space was happening, because I guess it WAS ages ago. I have been wanting to share this for a while, but as seems to be the theme of all my blogposts, life got busy and it got pushed off. Well, now that I am finally writing this post, boy have I been reminded of what a journey this really was.
To those who may not know, back in January there was a flood in my basement and I had to essentially move out for 2 months. Because I rent, I wasn't really able to control the who, what, where, when or how, of the fixings of the basement. It was a really hard time for me because, for anyone who knows me, my home is my sanctuary and when that feels out of sorts, my mental and physical health both are extremely impacted. I can't begin to explain what a relief it was to finally get my basement bedroom back in order AND newly improved, at that.
Of course, I rent and it IS a basement, but I have to pat myself on the shoulders because I think despite all those restrictions, the results were pretty darn good.
So, without further ado here it is!

I hope this inspired you to see that you don't need to make dramatic changes for a dramatic impact. Sometimes a little bit of a paint, a little bit of upgrading, and a whole lot of vision can take you far.
