The Tablescape Series: A Story of Colour – December Edition

the next gathering in the Tablescape Series—a private evening for friends exploring colour as a lens for design, seasonality, and sensory connection.

This month’s theme is Deep Evergreen: an evening shaped by winter’s quiet depth and the comforting palette of nature’s coziest season. Held in that soft, suspended week between Christmas and the New Year, the night will embrace the feeling of pause. When time stretches, routines loosen, and gathering becomes its own small ritual of renewal. Expect winter greenery, candlelit calm, and the warmth that comes from settling in together as the year gently exhales.

In collaboration with Chef Kate Levitt, the evening will be guided by the flavours and feeling of the season—food that carries the comfort, nostalgia, and quiet richness of winter. Wines will be thoughtfully chosen to echo that warmth and invite guests deeper into the rhythm of the night.

As always, a moment of shared inspiration will be woven into the dinner—something gentle and unexpected that brings the theme to life. December’s will reveal itself slowly, carried by sound, atmosphere, and the hush of winter evenings. A reminder that even in this in-between week, there is beauty in slowing down and letting the year settle around you.
