ABOUT
the next gathering in the Tablescape Series—a private evening for friends exploring colour as a lens for design, seasonality, and sensory connection.

This month’s theme is Velvet Crimson: an evening shaped by depth, richness, and quiet drama. February is a month that, despite the season outside, feels full and saturated. Colour deepens. Texture takes on greater importance. There is a sense of warmth that comes from within rather than around us—layers, softness, and moments designed to linger. Velvet Crimson reflects that fullness: enveloping, cinematic, and intentionally slow.
Held at this point in the season, the evening will lean into intimacy and atmosphere. Deep crimson tones, candlelit warmth, and a layered palette will set the stage for a table that feels immersive and transportive. A subtle nod to old theatre interiors and worn velvet curtains, where richness replaces restraint and the room itself becomes part of the experience.
In collaboration with Chef Kate Levitt, the dinner will unfold with thought and care, guided by the mood of the month. The menu will be layered and refined, offering comfort and depth in equal measure, designed to echo the richness and quiet indulgence that February invites.
As always, a moment of shared inspiration will be woven into the night. Something atmospheric and reflective that brings the theme to life. February’s offering will explore colour as emotion and presence—a reminder that fullness does not require excess, and that some months ask us simply to sit inside the experience.
